My name is Amanda and I am the designer, illustrator, social media coordinator, personality…well pretty much everything behind Portice Studio.

I have always been the creative friend but it took me several years (and an extra, unrelated college degree) to realize I could turn my passion for art and design into a career. I left my job as a social auditor to move back to my hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan, to attend Kendall College of Art + Design and I’ve never looked back!

While attending school I worked as both an intern and independent contractor for Chaco, as an in-house artist for The Mitten Brewing Company and The Paper Studio, as well as freelancing. Since graduating I have worked full-time for a financial management company and more recently, within a marketing team for home + decor products.

My current work focuses on design thinking, illustration, animation, hand-lettering, type-setting & layout design, brand identity, and trend research.
